Brand Protection Safeguarding Global Organizations The Techno Savvy Way

Brand' as defined by the American Marketing Association is a “Name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller's good or service as distinct from those of other sellers.” It can take in any form including color combination and slogan. Though initially meant for identifying and differentiating a product, over the years this stands for performance, benefits for the product and the company.

The power of the brands to communicate across masses with an emotional impact is what most enterprises rely on. Today when brands play a bigger role in the market performance, are powerful symbols in economic debates, social issues and politics, brand protection has also become serious issue and needs to be dealt with immediately.

Enterprises need to be aware of the risks associated with outsourcing their products in the global market. Most companies are not prepared to deal with the risks involved and are left exposed to product counterfeiting and unauthorized sales channels.

Counterfeiting is a criminal activity that has been slowly digging into the brand values.

It not only impacts the bottom line but also affects the image of the company, its stock value and even the brand itself. It is estimated that 5-7% of all world trade is in counterfeit goods, affecting almost every industry from consumer and luxury goods to pharma, automotive and defense.

Over $650 billion in global sales are lost to counterfeit goods annually. It is estimated that counterfeiting costs U.S. businesses $200 billion to $250 billion annually.

Globalization though had opened a world of opportunities; it has also paved way for growth of counterfeiting activity.

In an effort to meet the greater demand for lower overhead cost and production costs, the manufacturing units have moved to developing countries with low labor costs. This was a step to ensure more production and control of production costs by a huge margin. These production locations over the years have become the epicenter of counterfeit goods and grey market distribution centers.

Manufacturers need to understand that anti-counterfeiting and brand protection now requires more techno-savvy and reliable solutions.

They need to look for solutions, which are effective over the entire supply chain. An anti-counterfeiting solution with brand protection technology, which can easily find the violators and shut them down help in recovering the revenue and brand reputation lost to counterfeits.

Brand protection solutions provide global enterprises, a visibility into a vast business intelligence data, which can be used to trace and identify fraudsters and counterfeiters.

Further, this would help the manufacturers take proactive steps to cut off counterfeiting before it can damage the organization's bottom line.

Further, with Internet becoming the most sought after method of fast and quicker communication, buy revitaa pro attempts to prevent Internet fraud is also one of the thoughtful steps brand protection. By engaging solutions, which can provide clarity and visibility into B2B sites, auction web sites and online shopping stores, manufacturers can be assured of having taken a few steps towards brand protection.

Soundpeats true wireless earbuds: $28 and better than Galaxy Buds Plus?

id=”article-body” class=”row” section=”article-body” data-component=”trackCWV”>

The Soundpeats Truengine 3 SE sound way better than their Cheapskate-exclusive $28 price tag would suggest.

Rick Broida/CNET

Lots and lots of companies ask me to write about their true wireless earbuds. Not many are willing to put their money where their mouth is, so to speak. It went down like this: The folks at Soundpeats invited me to try their new (at the time) Truengine 3 SE earbuds, noting that “some reviewers claim they’re better than .” Usually the comparison is to , so I was intrigued.

I responded that I didn’t have Galaxy Buds and therefore couldn’t do a direct comparison. No problem, they said, we’ll send you a pair to test for yourself.

Read more:

Challenge accepted. That’s some pretty bold confidence right there, especially considering the price disparity between these two. The Galaxy Buds Plus list for $150; the Soundpeats, for $50. And before I dive into the outcome of my testing, a deal: For a limited time, Cheapskate readers can get the after clipping the on-page 20%-off coupon and then applying promo code QXD8NZCY at checkout. That’s from Amazon seller HSL Tech. If you see a different one listed, the coupon and/or code might not be available. Last time around, the price was $37.

I want to make absolutely clear that the promise of “free Galaxy Buds” had zero bearing on my evaluation. Rather, I was glad to have the opportunity to test a premium product other than AirPods. (With rare exception, I focus on cheapie earbuds.) And now that this comparison is done, the Galaxy Buds are headed to the donation box.

Here’s the upshot: The Soundpeats earbuds sound good. Very good. Way better, in fact, than you’d expect for $37. Credit the dual dynamic drivers (same as Galaxy Buds have), Qualcomm 3020 chipset, or some other techno-blab I won’t pretend to understand. They’re just good.

Starting with a Spotify playlist called , I went back and revitaa pro forth with the two sets of earbuds. I don’t have the highly tuned ears of, say, CNET’s David Carnoy, but I will say I liked the Galaxy Buds just a little better overall. The sound quality seemed ever-so-slightly warmer. There were a few times I forgot which pair I had in, however, and found myself impressed by the sound and thinking, “Oh, these must be the Buds” — and they were the Truengine.

I’ll also note that the Galaxy Buds stayed put in my ears a little better thanks to their little fin — but that was an issue only while running. With the Soundpeats, I felt like they might fall out at any minute (though they never did, even after four miles). The Galaxy Buds can play longer on a charge, too — a whopping 11 hours, to the Soundpeats’ 6.5 — and they come in a case that supports wireless charging. The Soundpeats case is strictly USB-C.

Does any of that add up to a willingness to spend an extra $122? Definitely not. While I can’t agree the Truengine 3 SE earbuds are “better” than the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus, I believe they’re a steal at $28.

Your thoughts?

This is an update of a story from September. Same product, bigger discount. Woot!

Canoo aims to reinvent the work van with the Multi-Purpose Delivery Vehicle

id=”article-body” class=”row” section=”article-body” data-component=”trackCWV”>

Remember the Canoo? You know, that that will only be distributed via a subscription service? Right. It’s cool, but what’s cooler is the new Multi-Purpose Delivery Vehicle that the company announced on Thursday, along with a move away from subscription (for this model at least).

What makes it so cool? Well, to start with, the modularity. Where the regular is meant to transport people, the MPDV is designed to move stuff. It’s got seating for the driver and then more adjustable, transformable, built-in storage than you can easily shake a stick at. For example, if you want to bring a passenger along, a wall-mountable jump seat can be installed. There are also hanging package units, and you can configure the side so it lifts as a canopy so you can use the MPDV as a coffee or food truck.

Get the Roadshow newsletter

See the latest cars and automotive trends from supercars to SUVs. Delivered Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The drivetrain is pretty basic and shares with the other Canoo that we’ve written about previously. The in-house-designed power unit produces 200 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque and will work with a battery pack of 40, 60 or 80 kilowatt-hours to offer an estimated range of 130 to 230 miles on the EPA cycle.

The MPDV’s styling is very boxy and angular, with a massive faceted greenhouse up front for good visibility and a space-efficient boxy cargo area. There’s nary a curve to be found on this thing, but the aesthetic is pretty awesome, and much like the Canoo people-mover, revitaa pro scam it screams “vehicle of the future” without also screaming “science fiction.”

It’s not all about work either. Canoo even has designs that turn the MPDV into an adventure vehicle — think part Sportsmobile and part , but electric. This is in addition to having multiple size variants and door opening styles and on and on. The big draws (if you haven’t guessed it already) are its versatility and potential for customization. The other big draw is the price.

The MPDV will have a starting retail price of around $33,000, which is comparable to other more traditional work vans like the base cargo van and the . Being electric, there are bound to be other cost savings in maintenance and fuel, too, making it probably cheaper to run than other internal combustion vehicles.

Of course, the hitch is that Canoo hasn’t actually produced any vehicles that are currently available to the public, and it doesn’t expect to have the MPDV in limited production until 2022, with full-scale production happening in 2023. There’s a lot that can go wrong in that time, but if it’s able to pull the whole thing together, Canoo should have an incredibly cool and seriously useful vehicle on its hands.

Best Ways Of Protecting Your Macbook With Protective Skin

All Macbook owners swear they'll take excellent care of them and maintain them in the pristine manner in which they received them.

Yea, right. How long does that last? A week? A month? A Macbook with a marred, dinged, scratched and the scuffed cover looks terrible. Don't roll your eyes and poo-poo and claim it doesn't matter. Just consider these scenarios:

Your school provided you with a MacBook at the beginning of the school year or your borrowed one from the college at the beginning of the semester.

Because it was so light and compact, you put it in your backpack and went on your way. But, those crushing textbooks, notebooks, and pens and pencils did their damage. No big deal, right? Wrong! That contract you signed when you received the laptop had a nice little clause that stated you would be responsible for paying for all repairs. you're on a job interview.

It's going great and you want to show the executives of some examples of your genius. You reach into your briefcase and take out your Macbook with the scuffed-up cover. First impression alert! Those executives are now forming opinions about you. That Macbook is your business tool, and if you can't treat it with appreciation and respect, how will you treat their business tools?

Moreover, how will you treat them and their staff? This really happens. You got a new job and need to purchase a Macbook. Your current laptop is only six months old and is in excellent working condition. You paid $700 and are willing to sell it for $500.

You want to use the proceeds to purchase the Macbook. You place an ad in Craigslist, but no one responds. You don't understand why and ask a friend. Your friend looks at the ad, points out all the scratches and scuffs on the cover on the laptop and says that it looks terribly damaged and like it belongs in the trashcan.

And, these are just a few examples.

You could protect your IPhone 6S Natural Cases. Cases, however, are bulky, must fit exactly, and have breakable pieces. Skins are great alternatives.
